HBO Chief in Fight After The Fight
In a scene reminiscent of The Sopranos, HBO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht was forced to resign after being arrested in Las Vegas for choking and assaulting his girlfriend. The apparent criminal assault occurred after the star studded Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight which was broadcasted by HBO
Albrecht, in a scene taken from last week’s episode of The Sopranos apparently succumbed to alcohol after being away for reportedly over a decade. Like Christopher Moltisanti, Albrecht became violent and out of control.
Albrecht resigned temporarily after the news came out about his arrest for assault. He was fired after The Los Angeles Times ran a story about a 1991 assault he committed against a female HBO employee he was intimately involved with, which resulted in a $4000,000 settlement by Time Warner. Albrecht is credited as a creative force behind popular shows like The Sopranos etc.
